Corporations Hate Democracy

As more of us realize that this nation, yes this nation, is dedicated to destroying honest democracy and installing corporate rape coups here and abroad, the economic elite will fight back even harder. The disgusting Goebbels of today, Rupert Murdoch and his lackeys will step up the fear mongering.

Simply put, what we all see now with more clarity than ever, is that where it matters most democracy is subverted for corporate dominance. This is done here in the USA as well as fostered around the world by economic terrorists within the ranks of the US intelligentsia acting to install the private raping and abuse of public asserts wherever possible and under the most distressing social conditions possible. This is a US history that reaches back many decades and can be uncovered with moderate effort. (See The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein and/or Chomsky for starters)

The danger is not the USA itself but the infestation of the Constitutional Democracy of the US by powerful corporate interests. The deck is stacked against public participation in our governance and democracy world wide. Democracies represent the will of the people and that has to be stopped. Only if that “will” is massaged, distorted and manufactured through corporate propaganda can it be allowed to stand, if not only in appearance. Market dogma and blind faith in the benevolence of greed is the supreme aim of the usurpers. If we look at the behavior of this two party charade over the last two decades we can detect the increased transparency of this goal.

The Democratic party would be the chief obstacle to creating a consumer serfdom as they are traditionally the party that supports labor, the middle class and those outside the corporate kingdom. The Republican party is clearly and expectantly the party that abhors any progress that helps labor, the poor or the working class. They are clearly and openly a party that sees themselves, no matter how poor the constituent, as aristocracy. If not in economic status, then a kind of idiotic pridefullness in being happy to kneel to power and if not economic power then social retardation that favors the comfort of outdated prejudices.

America presented a very difficult obstacle to this corporate terrorism given the success of democracy, as compromised as it was in decades past. But what have been seeing since September 11, 2001 is the success of the “market religion” and “market politics” taking root. By abusing the people of the USA in their greatest time of vulnerability and disorientation, an openly corporatist administration opened the floodgates of a corporate take over of the United States of America.

The Bush administration compromised checks and balances as a “necessity” in order to protect Americans from certain death. This administration openly and proudly threatened Americans at every turn, even as to who they should vote for. Their open contempt for democracy is documented. But the party that was supposed to serve to balance this cancerous growth also openly and clearly bowed to its goals. The Democratic party’s behavior during the egregious and heinous actions of the Bush administration was little more than asking Dick Cheney how high they should jump. All of this should be within reach of our notoriously deficient historical memories.

And what do we see as Americans attempted to democratically influence their own governance as they sobered from the shock of September 11 and the perpetual “War on Terror”? Sweeping victories by the party that is supposed to counter the agenda of the corporatists and the socially retarded and the election of an African American Democrat that is supposed to be “the most liberal” Democratic Senator in Congress. One might assume from this loud and clear message that Americans were not happy with the status quo. Well, you might think that until the new Goebbels, Rupert Murdoch, took to telling Americans what reality is according to him and his stooges at Fox News.

Now we are to believe that Americans voted in all of those Democrats in 2006 and that African American Liberal because they want TEA party policies! And what has been the affect of this powerful propaganda push? Many, many Americans, especially and most devastatingly those on the Left, believe this abject lie.

But… there is the stirring of a movement or at least a growing consensus among us that we are being had–that we are being herded around, poked and prodded to keep us in our pens. We are realizing that we are on our own and that no party really represents us or democracy in America. We are shaking off this stupor that we have been shocked in to. But we must all be aware at all times that this monster can see and hear and it will turn up its disgusting lies and fear mongering in a constant counter to democracy and sobriety. Be aware. Be ready for the next big lie.
